As more developers and teams continue to use Tuist, staying on top of all the support requests and questions has become increasingly challenging. This concerns us because the support you receive is directly connected to your overall experience with Tuist.
Our first step to address this issue was redirecting conversations from Slack to this community forum. While this might seem like a short-term inconvenience because it requires more time to elaborate on topics, in the long term it benefits everyone. Content becomes more easily searchable and indexable by search engines—something that’s not possible in Slack, where content is deleted after a certain period.
This change helped, but it wasn’t enough. As we considered other solutions, we discovered the Dosu project. Dosu is a tool that integrates with all your information sources (e.g., documentation websites, Slack conversations) and uses LLM models to answer community questions. Note that it might not be perfect, so if you receive an unhelpful answer, your feedback is crucial. Please react with the icon on Slack or GitHub issues and pull requests to share your feedback. We’ll use this information internally to determine if we need to provide Dosu with additional information.
Like any new technology, especially in this space, it takes time to perfect and reach optimal effectiveness. We ask for your support through feedback and honest assessments of your experience with it. If we can find a reliable solution, we’ll regain focus that we can then devote to building more Tuist features.
